IDA Members,
Please cast your vote related to the amendments to the Bylaws of IDA.
The basic change is that IDA will no longer be defined by Nonprofit Corporate Law as a “membership” organization which requires that every year IDA would need around 200 members to vote for the Board of Directors and future Bylaws revisions. Most organizations that are similar to IDA in structure are not “membership” organizations as defined by Nonprofit Corporate Law.
IDA will still have “members”, just not as defined by Nonprofit Corporate Law. IDA still will provide support as we always have for our “members” and still have annual dues to help cover the costs to provide the support (i.e. newsletters, trainings, eNews, advocacy work, etc.)
