This event will feature LIVE coach-the-coach practice with multiple home visitors and families. Together we will practice EI coaching strategies (e.g. problem-solving, reflection, observation, feedback, etc.) while we watch segments from recent coaching home-visits. This is a unique opportunity to support EI colleagues as we coach them live through this video self-modeling process. Video modeling is an evidence-based way to learn from our peers and strengthen our own coaching and routines-based-intervention skills. Please join our Community of Practice for this third coaching event in a series of ongoing monthly coaching/RBI live zoom events.

Trauma-Informed Practice: Perspectives for Early Intervention
Over the past years much has been learned through neuroscience about the brain and the developmental impact on its growth and function in the presence of adversity. This workshop will expose participants to the Four R’s of trauma-informed care: Realize the widespread impact of trauma; Recognize the signs of being trauma-triggered; Respond with policies and procedures that support optimal functioning; and Resist Re-traumatization in order to break the cycle and foster resilience.
