Vivian Weinstein Leadership Day:
Best Practices in Home Visiting

Monday, June 27, 2016
The California Endowment / 1000 N. Alameda Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Join us for a day of dialogue and learning. This conference is designed for early intervention personnel and home visitors to bridge the best practices and research for home visiting. Participants will have an opportunity to hear from state leaders on best practices for home visiting that are essential for providing comprehensive services to young children with special needs and their families. The day will include time for dialogue among Home Visitors across disciplines on partnerships and models.

After this full-day conference, participants will:

  • Identify best practice models of home visiting in a variety of settings
  • Understand how to individualize home visits - acknowledging cultural differences
  • Increase awareness about resources and supports for Home Visitors
  • Know the personnel competencies to support comprehensive services
  • Increase knowledge on local, state and national policies for home visiting

Continuing Education (CE) hours available for several professional disciplines. Additional fee and onsite registration for CE is required.

Vivian Weinstein was a visionary and leader in recognizing the high stake benefits and barriers to accurate information, planning, and collaboration from policy to service across the Early Care & Education (ECE) Community. In her honor this Leadership Day brings together leaders from the field - legislators, administrators, interested staff, students and parents – to learn from each other, join the discussion, and find strength and partnerships for the critical years ahead.
