The Infant Development Association is supporting the California Policy Center in its work to collect data on the staffing challenges facing the field of Early intervention. In June, IDA provided an event by Dr. Leslie Fox focused on many of the current challenges in Early Intervention, - " Staffing Up: A Discussion of Recruitment and Retention Issues in Early Intervention".

You may have heard first hand about the components of this national challenge facing the field of Early Intervention. All disciplines - Education/Early Childhood Educators-Special Educators; Therapists - Occupational, Physical, Speech; Social Workers: Physicians; Psychologists; Behaviorists, Assistants, etc. need to share their thoughts and complete the survey.

The service provider survey (see link below) will provide critically important data about the Early Intervention workforce, help define the magnitude of the shortage, and ultimately what the shortage means to the infants, toddlers, and families seeking Early Intervention services.

The survey will remain open until August 15, 2025.
