The Governor released his version of the 2023-2024 May Revise. However, it is still critical for all Early Intervention families and providers to take time to connect with their legislators and the Governor.

DDS Workforce Data Collection

The survey registration and survey went live on May 1, 2023. Attached is the presentation from the meeting on April 25, 2023, which provides information about registering for and completing the survey. In addition, more information can be found on the DDS DSP Workforce Data Collection website page.

Quality Incentive program:

• Enclosure B FINAL - 1st Phase (ca.gov) Survey reimbursement access
• Quality Incentive Program (QIP) - CA Department of Developmental Services
• Access to Early Start Services for Children and Families PDF
• Early Intervention programs will have this for their desired outcome and an additional step to receive a 10% rate. The desired outcome is that children and families receive timely access to Early Start services.

DDS Extension of Directives

As of August 26, the Department of Developmental Services released extensions on the following Directives.
DDS Directive 01-082922 - Extension of Waivers, Modifications and Directives due to COVID-19

One pertaining to the continuation of Early Start services past age 3, DDS Directive 01-082922 - Extension of Waivers, Modifications and Directives due to COVID-19 is extended to October 3, 2022.

DDS Shares Updates on Provider Rates!

Follow the timeline process on Rate Model:
The rate models with the updated cost components as of February 2022 will be used to calculate the rate adjustment effective April 1, 2022. The Excel files listed by Regional Center and Programs are a comparison of the updated February 2022 rates, to the previous rates published in January 2020. More info click here
